What a supporter can do
A supporter can support you just by being present when you are giving your evidence.
If the court has allowed you to have a supporter, your supporter will be able to sit alongside you when you are using any of the other special measures approved by the court.
Your supporter can also offer support and reassurance to you before you give your evidence and, if the court allows, they can keep you company during any breaks.
