Criminal Proceedings

The trial – what you have to do.

If the person accused of committing a crime says they're guilty, you may not have to come to court, answer any questions and give your evidence.

To help you give your evidence, you will be asked questions, usually by the procurator fiscal and the lawyers. You should listen carefully and try your best to answer as accurately as you can.

Find out more about giving your evidence.
