Lots of people are witnesses, so you don't have to feel that you're alone. Some people don't know a lot about being a witness or going to court. Don't worry. There are lots of things that can be done to help you.

You will have received either a letter or an official citation, which will give you a date and time when you're needed as a witness. You should tell the children's reporter or lawyer as soon as you can if there is some important reason why that date might be difficult for you, for example, if you are sitting an exam at school.
